Meet Gerrit

I’ve had the privilege of being with AgTrust for nearly 18 years, all of which have been spent at the Stephenville office. Over the years, I’ve taken on various roles, including credit analyst, loan officer, and now, Credit Office President for both the Stephenville and Cleburne offices. My experience at AgTrust has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve enjoyed seeing the company grow and evolve.

I grew up on a family dairy farm between Hico and Hamilton, which gave me a strong foundation in agriculture. While my immediate family has moved away from dairy farming, my wife and I currently run a small commercial cow/calf operation, which keeps us connected to the land and the industry. Agriculture truly is in our roots.

I’m also a proud graduate of Tarleton State University, where I earned both a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. These educational experiences have helped shape my career, providing me with the tools to succeed in both the financial and agricultural sectors.

I’ve been fortunate to marry my high school sweetheart, and together, we have two grown children—one is married, and the other will be soon. We enjoy spending time together as a family, whether it’s walking outdoors, feeding cattle, or fishing. We are also actively involved in our church, Harvey Baptist Church.

I’m passionate about giving back to the community, and I stay engaged through civic activities such as the Lions Club, 4-H, and the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce. I serve on the board of the Chamber and the Erath County Pasture to Packer program, and I’m a proud member of the Stephenville Noon Lions Club.

Family, faith, and community are at the heart of everything I do, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and well-being of the Stephenville area.
