Lone Star Ag Credit donates $4000 to FFA and 4-H groups through scholarship program

Lone Star Ag Credit made multiple donations to FFA chapters and 4-H clubs across Texas this fall. The donations are part of Lone Star’s scholarship program, which recognizes outstanding high school seniors. As part of their application process, they are asked to write an essay regarding the roles agriculture and natural resources play in their lives now and in the future.

Each local chapter or club of the scholarship recipients received $500. This year, the recipients included Slidell/Greenwood 4-H, Gonzales County 4-H, Palo Pinto County 4-H, Santo FFA, Kaufman County 4-H, Hays County, Gillespie County 4-H, and Harper FFA.

“Providing funds to 4-H and FFA groups is always a pleasure,” Joe H. Hayman, Lone Star Ag Credit chief executive officer, said. “Our scholarship winners are the reason we make donations to new clubs and chapters each year.”

The 2024 scholarship application will be available in mid-January.
