Board Elections Completed

Lone Star Ag Credit recently completed its annual board of directors’ election. Fellow customer-owners of those running receive ballots and are encouraged to participate by casting their vote. This board is responsible for the guidance and oversight of the association.

Matt Carter of Jack County, Bert Pruett of Denton County, Brent Neuhaus of McLennan County, and Josh Drews of Falls County were re-elected to the rural lending cooperative’s board of directors. They will serve three-year terms.

“Representation of stockholders by their own, is one of the unique benefits of a cooperative lender, like Lone Star Ag Credit” said Joe Hayman, Lone Star Ag Credit chief executive officer. “The board’s leadership and decision making are not taken for granted by customer-owners.”

The Association’s Annual Meeting took place on Thursday, June 15, 2023, where all director candidate positions were confirmed as proposed by the 2023 Nominating Committee. The nominating committee identifies and interviews director candidates for each open position during a given election cycle.

The Lone Star Ag Credit 12-member board also includes Vice-Chairman, Asa Langford of Lampasas, David Conrad of Round Rock, Cody Hughes of Roscoe, Chad Lee of Fort Worth, Tina Murphy of Dekalb, Jeff Nelson of Corsicana, Stacey Schumacher of Era and David Harris of Cleburne.
