Meet Shannon

I was born and raised in the foothills of the San Juaquin Valley in CA. My family farmed citrus and ran cattle part-time. I received my bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and completed my MBA during the early part of my career as an Ag Lender for a large commercial bank. In 2012, I moved to Texas, where I soon met my husband, who was stationed in Clovis at Cannon Air Force Base. In 2015, I joined the Farm Credit Family.

I enjoy fitness, anything with critters, fishing, traveling, entertaining, and home/property improvement projects (we have to test our marriage somehow since we aren’t currently running cattle). We’re active with the base providing activities, support, and community to the airmen and their families so they can feel at home away from home; as well as learn the joys associated with a rural assignment. We are also quite active working with local animal shelters and rescues.

I consider myself one very lucky woman to have had the opportunity to work with some of the best folks in the world. Agriculture gives me purpose and my own personal feeling of ‘home’ no matter where I am. I’ve worked with an extremely diverse pool of operators and producers and cherish learning from each and every one of them.
