Meet Shannon

I was born and raised in the foothills of the San Juaquin Valley in CA. My family farmed citrus and ran cattle part time to their “real jobs”. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and completed my MBA during the early part of my career as an Ag Lender for a large commercial bank. In 2012 I moved to Weatherford Texas where I soon met my husband who was stationed in Clovis, NM at Cannon Air Force Base. In 2015 I joined the Farm Credit Family and despite numerous moves around the U.S., I’ve worked as a lender for Ag New Mexico.

I love anything outside and with critters. I enjoy fitness, horses, fishing, traveling, home improvement projects (I have to test my marriage somehow since we aren’t currently running cattle), and entertaining. Many folks in the military have no extended family nearby, so we provide activities, friendship, support, and community to the airmen and their family so they can feel at home away from home; as well as learn the joys associated with a rural assignment. We are also extremely active in working with local animal shelters and rescues to help the many animals in need.

I consider myself one very lucky woman to have had the opportunity to work with some of the best folks in the world. Agriculture gives me purpose and my own personal feeling of “home” no matter where I am. I’ve worked with an extremely diverse pool of operators and producers and cherish learning from each and every one of them.
