Andrew Polk
Senior Loan Officer
Meet Andrew
I grew up in the eastern Texas town of Lufkin, and attended Texas A&M University to earn my degree in Agriculture Leadership & Development with a minor in Business. I continued my education at Texas Christian University where I received certification from the world-renowned TCU Ranch Management program.
I am a fourth-generation rancher, coming from a family-operated, registered and commercial cow/calf operation. Growing up, my parents taught me that honesty, a strong work ethic and determination are the three keys to success. I grew up in a family with a tradition of strong faith, hard-work, responsibility and determination. I never hesitated to get up early before school to manage my 4-H projects or ranch duties, and would not let up until the sun had long since set.
I developed a love for agriculture and livestock at a young age, which ultimately led to my dream career path.
I am a firm believer that individuals should strive to do what they have a passion for or find something that ties them and connects with their passion. My passions are agriculture, ranching and being a steward of the land.
I believe it is also important to give back to your community and associations. I was one of 20 individuals in Angelina County chosen for Leadership Tomorrow, a program that prepares future leaders in our communities. I am a third-generation member of Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, second-generation member of the Texas Wildlife Association, member of the Fort Worth Farm & Ranch Club and fourth-generation supporter of local ag organizations and project sales for 4-H and FFA.
My experience in agriculture, paired with my educational background, gives me the knowledge to better serve customers and stockholders because I understand their needs and goals.
